Memory model

The inspiration of my models comes from a dream. I dreamed that I enter a normal hotel in a street, then I enter a room and I find a big hole in front of the bathroom wall. There are the broad plains outside the wall. It looks so beautiful so real. I can even feel the wind from inside. A train passed in the distance. Everything attracts me into that world. But I am afraid to enter the plains because I have a strong feeling that if I do, I will not be able to return to the real world. The first one is the scene of my dream. Then I made the second one, it is not too concrete, I wanted to try something abstract.

I think the dream means fear and anxiety in my heart. The wall is important because it creates 2 spaces and represents protection for me. Outside is the unknown and ideal future, inside is known and comfortable area. So I made a wall with spikes to imply uneasy mood and use wool and arc shape to create a Protected space. Maybe the dream suggested my state at that time. I have a fear of the unknow, but also have a longing. So I stay in a safe place and peep outside. That’s why there are many small holes on the wall and I need a ladder and a telescope.
